Pests to Expect in Winter

• Spiders/Crickets will enter homes in the fall seeking warmth and shelter to survive the cold months, here they will seek out damp, dark basements, and lay eggs.

• Stink Bugs are expert at hibernating in structures and will seek shelter in your attics. Once there they will hibernate and emerge in early spring working there way inside the home through vents and light fixtures.

• Rodents: mice and rats are the major pests that will enter your home in the winter. Seeking warmth and shelter and food, they will be more than content to live amongst you and share all your resources.

• Carpenter Ants, these pests, although mostly associated with warmer weather, if they already have an established nest within your home and there is an ample heat source, these ants will be continually active during the winter. If so, this is signs of a significant infestation.
