All County Exterminating was started back in 1963 by William Binns and his wife Dolores. Since moving from Throggsneck, NY, All County has always been based out of Mahopac, NY. William received his training in entomology and the pest control industry at Farmindale College in Long Island, NY.
In 1972 All County was incorporated under Building Care Corp. During this time William was a forefather in the Home Inspection Industry and was a co-founder of ASHI – American Society of Home Inspectors. William expanded his business with the addition of Liberty Home Inspection & Appraisal Company.
William’s son Ed Binns started working at All County when he was just 15 years old. He would help out around the office doing various clerical duties. When he was 16 years old he attended Westchester Community College for the 30 hour core training course and acquired his NYS DEC certification license.
Since then, Ed has worked summers and full time once he graduated Dutchess College in 1988 with a Major in Computer Science and a minor in Small Business. With the changing nature of the Pest Control Industry we changed our Name to All County Pest Control.
Since then Ed has acquired seven (7) different NYS DEC categories of certification; 7a Structural & Rodent, 7C – Termite, 7F – Food Processing, 8 – Public – Health, 5A – Aquatic insect, 5B – Aquatic Plant, 3A – Ornamental Turf. Holding all these certification license enables All County Pest Control to offer Any type of pest control Service that you may require.
Ed also holds a NYS DEC Nuisance Wildlife Trapping License, which allows him to live trap, handle, and remove Nuisance Wildlife.
In accordance with NYS DEC regulations, Ed maintains all his certifications with on going technical training courses provided by the state and various agencies. Being certified in a wide range of categories, this allows us to stay up to date on all aspects of Pest Control.
Today All County is made up of 6 employees, 3 full time service technicians and 2 clerical office staff and a seasonal service technician. We pride ourselves on keeping all our employees up to date on business practices, as well as technical training allowing them to provide you with accurate information and recommendations.
